By this point, the two had unofficially been crowned the ‘top childhood couple,’ and there was barely any doubt that the two were in a relationship. Sadly for Zivon, this was the first thing he saw when he woke up, and Xavia had yet to send an explanation message…!

Irked beyond words, he ended up heading to the rooftop swimming pool for a swim. Despite how cool the quiet morning was, anyone who saw the toned man would’ve surely felt the heat he was emitting… Sophia, for one, had been present, and she continued staring at him for around twenty minutes… before finally stepping forward and saying, “Is the swim to put out your internal fire, Young Master Burton?”

Despite how casual her tone was, Zivon wasn’t about to answer. At the start, he had actually admired her for being a unique career woman. Why else had he been willing to give her a hand back then? Alas, it was simply too good to be true, and Zivon had found out the hard way when it was revealed that she had a long-time crush on him. How on earth had she managed to withhold her feelings for him for so long?

Regardless, following Dana’s death, Sophia became a completely different person. Not only did she fail to keep her good points, but all her worst aspects began showing up as well. Aspects that he truly despised… And suicide attempts? That was the path of a true coward, at least for Zivon. At the moment, there were only three reasons why he was still tolerating her.

Their past friendship, the contract, and the fact that Dana used to treat Xavia well. With that in mind, he sighed before getting out of the water… And after wrapping a bathrobe around his immaculate body, he glared at her while saying, “Someone’s free. Need I arrange some work for you?”

This prompted Sophia’s lips to stiffen. She had come over to care for him, yet this was how he was treating her? It took her a while, but she eventually replied, “Are you disgusted with me, Young Master Burton? Do you find it hard to talk to me? I simply need your warmth right now, is that wrong?”

“Would you ever give up if I don’t let it out on you the hard way? Either way, know that this is the last time I tolerate you. Stop interfering with my matters. I won’t repeat myself,” retorted Zivon in a frightening tone, instantly prompting a shiver to run down Sophia’s spine.

It took her a while, but she eventually smiled as she replied, “…You’re only this angry because you haven’t received her message yet, right? That aside, do you really think that my absence will deter her from getting involved with Mark? If so, I have to say that you really don’t know her. Between you and me, she’s already lost her first time to him at the sweet age of eighteen.”

Upon hearing that, Zivon grabbed Sophia’s neck and pinned her against the wall before growling, “Do you think I believe you? Even if it is true, it happened in the past, so stop trying to sow discord.”
