In the end, Harold sent another message that wrote, ‘…Don’t you believe me? That photo was genuine. Also, I’m sure you could’ve guessed that that voice belonged to her earlier, right?’

Zivon, for one, knew that Harold wasn’t one to lie, and in this case, he didn’t even have a reason to lie. Even so, Zivon wanted little to do with that half-hearted woman. With that in mind, he simply replied, ‘Tell her to head back. That aside, I’m busy now, so I’ll call you later.’

Following that, he switched his phone off… and it didn’t take long before a black-suited bodyguard walked in before respectfully saying, “Should I contact the higher ups to handle your mother’s situation, Young Master Burton?”

This guard, in particular, was tasked with following Zivon around all year round, making sure to pick up any negative news about him, and protecting Zivon’s name at all costs. With that said, anything that Zivon requested from him was pretty much as good as done.

To the guard’s surprise, however, Zivon simply replied in an emotionless tone, “It’s fine. This isn’t a major issue, and I’ve been pretty distracted recently anyway. It’ll be good to deal with this myself.”

“…Are… you still upset regarding Miss Lockhart’s news…? Because if so, the truth is-”

…The person in the news was Jenna. Alas, before the guard could even complete his sentence, Zivon interrupted, “It isn’t her. You’ve been following me around this entire time, so do you really think I’d be affected by that woman?”

…Wasn’t that the case? While it was true that no woman could have affected that man in the past, ever since Xavia appeared, Zivon almost seemed like a different person… With that said, how was Zivon even able to maintain such a straight face with that answer?

In all honesty, aside from potentially making him and Wendy like her more, Sophia had also spread the news because she wanted to help Zivon. After all, with her own mother gone, she truly hoped that she could at least help him make peace with Wendy while he still could…
