“It’s a fever,” said Mark as he quickly carried the child into one of the bedrooms.

Matthew himself swiftly headed back to his room to get his medical kit… and within minutes, he was already busy examining Yulia’s condition.

After putting the child on an IV drip half an hour later, Matthew was prompted to say, “I have to say, your child is very weak, Miss Lockhart… Did she get sick often when she was younger? That aside, don’t worry. I gave her medicine from our research lab, so she should be fine soon… Though I say that, I’ll still be observing her general condition in the next twelve hours, and if there aren’t any major fluctuations, she’ll be feeling better in no time.”

Feeling grateful, Xavia quickly replied, “Thank you…! And yes, she used to get sick a lot, so I’ve always been careful to monitor her health. That aside, you can get some rest now. I’ll be taking care of her, and I’ll just call you if anything comes up.”

“Don’t worry, I’ve been sleeping all day so I’m not tired at all. With that said, I’m staying here with you,” said Matthew who knew that the worrisome woman wasn’t going to sleep a wink if he left now.

Honestly, had Zivon grown to like Jenna back then, the present day could’ve ended up far worse than she could imagine… Shaking the thought off, Xavia then took a deep breath before holding onto her daughter’s tiny hand… Regardless of how her story with Zivon was going to progress, one thing was going to remain the same… And that was her love for Yulia.
