Following a long sigh, Harold replied, “Girl, you had a child with another man… In fact, you even brought her to his villa in the dead of night! Do you really think that Zivon would be fine after learning all that…?”

…Had bringing Yulia to Mark’s villa become a trending topic? She had only done so to keep Yulia safe from prying eyes! Well, that and the child also required medical treatment back then…

Her train of thought was cut short when Harold added, “Girl, tell me the truth… Is Yulia really you and Mark’s child…?”

“…She isn’t, Teacher. I’d love to explain, but now isn’t the time for that. When’s Young Master Burton leaving? I’ll rush over to explain things to him!” declared Xavia.

“He said that the flight was going to be at eleven, so… I’m afraid you’re too late,” muttered Harold as he peeked at his watch. It was already half-past ten, and she’d need at least thirty minutes to get to the airport from where she was… It didn’t help that there were usually terrible traffic jams around this time!

Regardless, upon checking the time herself, the panicked woman replied, “I… I can’t believe he didn’t even tell me about all this…!”

“The fact that he left so abruptly simply means that he’s that determined to leave… Listen, if you truly adore Zivon, then come up with something. Quick. I don’t want him to isolate himself from the rest of the world, just as he did decades ago,” said Harold.

Nodding in response, Xavia then hung up. Just as she was about to begin pursuing Zivon, however, she realized an issue. Yulia was still sickly, and she couldn’t just leave her daughter here…

“…Go. Matthew is here, and he’ll take good care of Yulia,” ordered a familiar voice that snapped her out of it.

Alas, to think that Zivon would suddenly decide to travel abroad! Once he left, it’d be even harder for her to meet up with him… The thought alone made her wish that time could slow down so that they’d reach their destination faster… To her dismay, her hopes were shattered when they were stopped by a red light! With a whopping fifty-nine seconds to wait—as seen on the traffic light’s timer—, Xavia was tempted to pull her hair in frustration!

“A-are we going to make it…? And why isn’t he picking up…? Please pick up already…!” muttered the anxious woman to herself as she brought her hands together.

After seeing how worried she was, Mark eventually sighed subtly as he replied, “…Have you considered calling those close to him?”

…That was right! She could still call Maison and Nathan! Alas, though she thought she had found her ray of hope, she was quickly disappointed when she realized that she could contact neither of them…! By this point, all Xavia could do was flop against her seat, utterly defeated…
