Once Xavia arrived at the scene, she’d be forced to witness her child getting beaten up and murdered! Following that, they’d murder her too! By this point, all the secretary could do was pray that that woman rested in peace. Then again, she was foolish for ever trying to compete with President Harrison for Zivon’s affection…

His train of thought was cut short when he suddenly felt a throbbing pain on his hand! Retracting his hand with a yelp, the secretary’s eyes soon widened when he saw Maison running across the road! Terrified of the consequences, he immediately yelled, “L-little Master…! Where are you going?! C-come back, quick…!”

“I’m going to look for Aunt! Don’t worry, I can do it alone!” replied Maison as he hopped into a cab… and before the secretary could even stop him, the taxi had already driven off…

“…What a hassle…! It’d be fine if Xavia and Yulia died, but if that little devil gets harmed, how will I ever explain things to Young Master Burton?!” grumbled the helpless secretary as he began scanning the area…

Shortly after, he saw a car driving by, and after doing his best to get it to stop, the secretary opened the side door and ordered, “You. Follow that cab closely. Once the road is less bumpy, I want you to ram into that taxi just enough to get it to stop!”

“I-I beg your pardon?!” replied the rightfully startled driver, prompting the secretary to groan.

Before the driver could say anything else, the secretary tossed a wad of money at him before scoffing, “Here, take this. I’ll also be paying for your car’s repairs, now step on it!”

Eyes widening when he saw all that cash, the driver gulped before ultimately replying, “…G-got it…!”

Back to Maison, he was busy sending Zivon a message in the cab from earlier…

‘Yulia’s being held ransom for a million dollars, Daddy! And Aunt’s currently heading over to save her with that money! I still think it’s dangerous for her to go alone, so please hurry over to her side!’

“L-let go…! Let go-”

“Shut it! We’re bringing you to your daughter!” growled a gruff voice, instantly prompting Xavia to go silent as she followed the man’s guidance…

It was around five minutes later when she could hear the sound of trickling water, and there was a strong scent of soil as well… Shivering from how cold the area was, Xavia couldn’t help but wonder where the hell they were bringing her to… and it wasn’t long before a man’s voice could be heard saying, “Here she is, Boss.”

“So this is the one, huh? Get the bag off so that she can have a good look at her daughter,” growled an icy voice from up ahead, prompting the cloth sack to be raised… and allowing Xavia to see a truly horrendous sight.
