She was mostly doing this because his earlier words reminded her of how badly he used to treat her… Whenever this man didn’t need her in the past, he’d treat her like an undignified bitch. Honestly, she felt like a glass bottle in his hand… A bottle that was filled with expensive wine. However, when the wine didn’t suit his taste, he’d simply toss her to the ground, causing her to shatter into a million pieces…

That was the last memory she ever wanted to relive. Shaking her head, she ultimately replied, “…You’re imagining things. Look, your place really is out of the way, and I need to start going through a sizable amount of Xavia’s materials for her upcoming videos. You can use my car if you really need it. I’ll just get it back some other day.”

Following that, she hailed a passing cab before getting inside… leaving Chace seething mad…! He, for one, knew that all those were just excuses, but… What had he done to provoke her that badly?

His train of thought was cut short when his secretary walked up to him before saying, “…Um… B-boss…? Which car should we use to leave…?”

Instantly glaring at the innocent man, Chace then retorted, “Beat it! Why did I even hire you if you don’t know what to say at the right time?!”

Naturally, this startled the secretary. Why was he the one who got hurt in the end?! Regardless, moments after both cars drove away, an unremarkable car by the corner of the street stopped shaking.

The atmosphere inside that car was… tense, to say the least, and it took Wade a while to finally get a good look at how drenched in sweat Sophia was. After a long pause, he eventually asked, “…Am I hurting you, Sophia? Would getting you some medicine help?”

Moving back to Xavia, she was unable to return home that night. Long story short, Zivon had gotten handsy with her, and as they were kissing, they had almost lost control within the room… Thankfully, she was able to snap out of it in time. However, Zivon then insisted that if she didn’t want him to touch her, then she had to remain by his side that night. Unable to do anything about that, all she could do was agree to stay in a hotel with him for the night…

With all that said, she was currently looking out of the luxurious hotel room’s window, silently admiring the nightscape… That was, until Zivon’s pleasant odor reached her nose. The man had just finished his shower, and after hugging her from behind, he was prompted to say, “Are you afraid, Xav?”

Though his voice was soothing, the second she felt his body against hers, Xavia instantly straightened like a ruler. Realizing that something else was pressing against her behind, Xavia admitted that it was impossible for her to not be afraid… In the end, however, she simply replied, “…I believe that you have the willpower to restrain yourself.”
