To no one’s surprise, the second Jenna got Xavia into her car, she immediately said, “Now that you’re with Young Master Burton and the whole world knows about it, I’m sure you itching to tell everyone about the truth of what happened that year right? So that you can finally live out your happily ever after?”

By this point, Xavia already knew that no amount of explaining would ever change the minds of Sophia and Jenna that she was a villainess. With that in mind, she simply replied, “You, of all people, should know how reluctant I had been when you took Maison away back then. How envious I was that you could live out in the open while all I could do was hide in the shadows.”

“Regardless, after meeting up with Young Master Burton, I was in no hurry to expose the truth. After all, my true goal had been to gain his affection and get you two to divorce!
