Shortly after, the doorbell rang, and though Xavia was still worried, she chalked it up as a mere lie to get her to let him in. With that, she ignored him once more…

Unbeknownst to Xavia, it was moments after Zivon had sent that message that he collapsed to the ground! Whitney, for one, had been keeping an eye on Zivon for a while, and when she saw him collapse, she immediately rushed over to his side while yelling, “B-brother Zivon?! Brother Zivon…!”

Since he was unresponsive, Whitney hurriedly gave Nathan… and the second her call was answered, she was quick to exclaim, “M-Mr. Miller! Young Master Burton’s fainted…!”

“What?! I’m on my way…!”

As Zivon was carried away for emergency treatment, Xavia herself couldn’t help but finally get out of bed. After all, she had heard quite a ruckus outside, and she could’ve sworn that she had heard a female’s voice as well… Now more worried than before, she headed toward the door… but to her surprise, nobody was there.

When she finally arrived, it didn’t take long for her to bump into Nathan, prompting her to ask, “M-Mr. Miller! What’s wrong with Von?!”

Upon seeing her, he sighed subtly before helplessly replying, “…He’s been busy with the wedding in the past few days, so he’s barely gotten any sleep… To make things worse, he started sleeping even less after he got into a quarrel with you… Adding that to the fact that it was freezing cold last night and he has a heart condition… Well, he fainted right outside your home last night.”

“Had Miss Baun not found him in time, he could very much be in grave danger right now…” concluded Nathan, instantly causing Xavia’s heart to shatter.

She… She had simply thought that he had left…! How was she to know that all that noise was them trying to save him…?!

Now brimming with guilt, tears began running down her cheeks as she replied, “I… I’m so sorry…! I didn’t know…! H-how’s his condition looking…? Is he out of the woods…?”
