With how perfectly blocked the entrance was, Xavia knew that she had no hope of escaping. Turning to glare at Zivon, she realized that his IV drip had already been reattached, and he was currently flipping through a newspaper, an icy aura surrounding him.

Just as she was about to give him a piece of her mind, she heard two familiar voices yelling, “Daddy?! Daddy! Are you alright?!”

“Please be alright, Daddy…!”

Facing the voices, she saw the sobbing kids running toward their father. Zivon himself simply patted them with his free hand while saying, “There, there… I just caught a cold and passed out for a bit. I’ll be fine shortly after.”

“…Really? But you’re in such a terrible state!”

“Yeah! Are you lying to us, Daddy?”

“…Hmm? I’m not lying… I mean, just look at your mother there. She’s just texting another man all casually without even being worried. Would she be acting this way if there was something wrong with me?”

Upon hearing that, Xavia instantly shot a glare at him. Zivon himself simply glared back without any guilt.

The kids themselves couldn’t sense any sadness coming from Xavia, so they were quick to say, “…Yeah, Mommy and Daddy look fine… I guess they’re alright after all!”

“Yay! That’s great to hear!”

Looking at the kids, he then patted their heads once more before asking, “Hmm… You know, Daddy has a friend who’s about to get married… But his girlfriend suddenly fell in love with another person, and she now wants to cancel their marriage… What’s more, she wants to take the man’s kids away too! If this were a court case, who would you say deserved the kids?”

Though the kids were now staring expectantly at her, Xavia really didn’t want to feed that man. After all, who knew what he had done with Whitney? The only thing she wanted to do now was teach him a lesson!
