“…I see. Guess I was just overthinking things,” replied Zivon with a subtle sigh before taking the kids to the washroom.

…The hell was there to even overthink?! And why was he making it seem like she was the one who had caused him to misunderstand in the first place?!

Regardless, they had their meal, and by the time they returned to the hotel, it was already eight-thirty at night. After bathing the kids, Xavia got ready to send them to bed. To her surprise, however, they were quick to exclaim, “We’re not sleeping with you tonight!”

Also, it’s not like they had to sleep away from us. I could’ve just as easily fulfilled that promise once they had fallen asleep!”

“Remember, you’ve been absent in their lives for ages, but now you’re just going to ignore their simple desires? You’re not acting like a father at all!” concluded Xavia, causing Zivon to go silent.
