“…Um… L-let’s talk about this tomorrow... For now, go eat your noodles while they’re still warm…” muttered Xavia as she attempted to push him away.

Zivon, however, simply hugged her even tighter as he replied, “Promise me now… Otherwise, I may just have something else for my meal…”

…What the hell? Hadn’t he been gentle just moments ago? Why was he saying such things now?! Not daring to disagree, the blushing woman quickly nodded before saying, “F-fine, fine, now let go of me…”

It was only after hearing that that Zivon gave her a kiss before finally letting go of her…

After the meal, Zivon told Xavia to stay the night at the villa. However, she quickly refused. After all, she knew that doing so would give Dolly a chance to laugh at her! What’s more, her family register was still at home! With how reluctant she was, all Zivon could do was send her home…

Once they said their farewells, Zivon waited till Xavia closed the door before heading back to his car. Lighting a cigarette, he took a few puffs and allowed the smoke to fill the car…

Xavia slept rather well that night, and she was only awoken by the sound of her phone ringing… It was a call from the kids.

“Hello? Mommy…? She’s not saying anything…”

“I told you not to call so early! Mommy sleeps like a log! She used to wake up super early to take care of me though,” said Yulia, prompting Xavia to reveal a subtle smile.

“I’m awake… Since you called, I’m assuming that you kids finally miss me…?”

“Don’t say that, Mommy! We wanted to call earlier, but we didn’t want to affect the wedding!” exclaimed Maison.

With that, she quickly began getting herself ready… and about half an hour later, a cab stopped in front of the Burton Manor…

After entering the building, Xavia was quick to meet up with Wendy and the kids. To her shock, Wendy already had dark circles under her eyes, making it clear that she hadn’t slept well in the past two nights…

Following a subtle frown, Xavia asked, “…Are you alright, Madam…?”

Shaking her head, Wendy said, “I’ll live… Um… How has Zivon been in the past two days…? Is he still mad at me…? I… I’ve disappointed him, haven’t I… Had I known that he’d take it this badly, I would’ve never chosen to do this…”

Holding her hands, Xavia replied, “Madam, you did nothing wrong, and that’s a fact.”
