Zivon hadn’t even settled his old scores with Hershel yet, yet here this old man was giving him more orders! Not wanting to argue with Hershel in front of Wendy, Zivon replied, “No need for you to step into my affairs. Still, since you’re being so nice to my mother, I may consider your suggestion…”

“…D-do you really mean that?” replied Hershel with hopeful eyes.

Nodding in response, he then gestured for Hershel to leave the ward… and once they were outside, Zivon was prompted to say, “Since her time on Earth is going to be short, I’m not completely against the thought of marrying her… That is, if you can abide by two conditions. Firstly, you’ll need to apologize to Xav. Secondly, you’ll continue taking good care of my mother. How about it?”

“…Wait, you know about what happened to Xavia?” asked the startled Hershel.

“Why else would I even consider talking to you? Now tell me. Are you going to apologize properly to Xav and Ian or not? Think about it carefully. Also, challenge my patience any further and you won’t be getting any more mercy from me!” growled Zivon before turning to leave.

This pissed Hershel off so badly that he was tempted to slam his walking stick against the floor! To think that Zivon would have the nerve to order him, an elder, to apologize to that young woman…! Did his pride mean nothing to Zivon…?! Then again… this was his one shot at getting Zivon to marry Whitney… Bah, so be it! He’d do it for the marriage…!

Moving back to Zivon, after getting into his car, Nathan started the engine before saying, “…With how well you said that, I have no doubt that he believes that you’re telling the truth, Young Master Burton! Makes me wonder if he’ll die of anger once he finds out that he’s been lied to!”

“He had it coming if that happens. I’d consider this punishment to be extremely light for what he’s done!” scoffed Zivon.

Understandably startled by Zivon’s generous gifts, Homer said, “…Um, these are…?”

“I had some conflicts with Ian before this, so I went to Eflurg to get a limited edition watch for him. I believe he likes this brand, and I hope that he accepts my apology.”
