It was that damned Whitney again…! Feeling irked, Xavia asked, “…What are you doing here? Aren’t you ashamed at all to be visiting a married man’s home every day…?!”

Smirking in response, Whitney scoffed, “You two aren’t even married yet! Besides, I’m the one he’s going to marry in the future!”

Following that, she pushed Xavia aside. Before Xavia could even retort, Whitney was already walking up the stairs while yelling, “Zivon? Are you up? I’ve made some soup for you…!”

Upon hearing her voice, Zivon instantly felt a headache coming. Sitting up, he notice how pissed Xavia looked behind Whitney… and after taking a deep breath, he was prompted to growl, “…I never said you could come as you please. Take your soup away with you.”

Though she was slightly taken aback, she was quick to reply, “…Um… I know you want the baby to have the soup, but this is for you… I’m sure our child would prefer if you had the soup as well…”

It was clear that she had brought the baby up on purpose, and Xavia couldn’t help but frown. To think that this bitch had actually considered making a fake pregnancy slip!

Zivon himself was now getting angrier by the second. The truth was, he had wanted to tell this to Xavia last night, but he had dozed off in his exhaustion. Now that Whitney had said this, however, he was sure that he was going to have to go through another round of hell! Not even wanting to think about it, he was prompted to growl, “I said, leave…!”

It sounded more like an order than anything, and Whitney couldn’t help but quiver. He was still being this ruthless even when he knew that she was bearing his child…?!

“…Zivon, I-”

It was clear that she was trying to guilt-trip Zivon, and the man quickly found himself lowering his gaze. Before he could even think of how to reply, Hershel walked into the room and declared, “Don’t you two think you’re a bit too cruel to be asking her to make that abortion?!”

Moments later, Nathan came running in while muttering, “A-apologies, Young Master Burton, but I couldn’t stop him from entering…!”

Since Zivon was still at a loss for words, Hershel added, “Since it’s your child and giving birth could potentially extend Whitney’s life, why shouldn’t we keep it around? Remember, you’re the reason her parents died back then, so it’s only right for you to take responsibility! As for you, Miss Lockhart! You’re a mother for heaven’s sake! How could you be so cruel to an innocent life?!”

“Look, if you really want to be with him that much, then just be his mistress or something!”
