In the end, she was prompted to reply, “…I guess you’re right…”

Finally softening his gaze, Zivon then said, “Of course, I am… We’ll keep them for each other, and whether we read them or not is up to us, alright…?”

Nodding in response, Xavia reminded herself never to read Fiona’s diary. After all, she already knew that he didn’t like her, so there was no point in torturing herself…

Shortly after, the car stopped before the palace, and one of the guards quickly ran over and opened the door for Xavia. He even held a black umbrella over her head to prevent any snow from landing on her, and it honestly felt like this was a movie scene…

“Welcome back, Young Lady.”

After nodding in response, she then turned to look at Zivon before asking, “Would you like to see the kids?”

Checking his watch and realizing how late it was, Zivon replied, “…They’re probably asleep by now, so I don’t think I should. I will come over tomorrow morning though.”

“Alright, then. Rest early, alright, Von?” said Xavia who expected him to leave at that moment.

To her pleasant surprise, he was quick to reply, “Go on in first. I’ll leave once you’re inside.”

Feeling extremely pleased, Xavia nodded before skipping into the manor… and it was only after that that Zivon told the driver to send him home…

Unbeknownst to him, Xavia made sure to peek at the leaving car… However, she was left startled when she heard a stern voice ask, “Are you seriously missing him already?”

Nodding in response, Xavia replied, “Yeah… He had no idea that Fiona had posted all that online, and he was apparently mad at me for hanging out with Mark, even though I don’t really see him as anything more than a friend… It was essentially just a series of misunderstandings, and now that we’ve talked things out, things are fine again…”

“…Are you two actually adults? How could you two misunderstand each other so badly?” grumbled Ian with a frown.

“Oh, you just don’t understand love since you’ve never experienced it before,” scoffed Xavia with a smile on her face. Though it was true that quarreling with him was exhausting, once things had been cleared up, he was literally the best thing in life that she could ever ask for….

…What the hell was she thinking?! Shaking her head, she then added, “…So… What exactly did you want to talk about again…?”

“…Well, I just feel that your marriage won’t go that smoothly…”
