As one would expect, it was Stella. Glaring at him, Stella scoffed, “And why is he here? We don’t need your blessings!”

It was clear that she was still pissed at how he had treated her before this! Regardless, though Stella was an extremely capable woman, she was nowhere near as prestigious as Zivon was! With that in mind, the other guests were quick to say, “My word, where are your manners, Stella?!”

“Indeed! He just came over to give his blessings! Don’t ruin such a joyous day with a tantrum!”

“Here, come over and join us, Young Master Burton!”

Looking completely unbothered, Zivon walked up to the two and said, “Though we’re not exactly close friends, we know one another enough for us to give you our blessings. Do accept this gift, and I hope that you live harmoniously till death do you apart.”

Accepting the beautifully packaged box, Mark nodded as he replied, “Thank you.”

Stella herself simply remained silent. Though she was tempted to make things hard for Zivon, she knew better than to do so after receiving that initial backlash. Instead, she simply drank a glass of wine… Mark did the same, and soon enough, they were drinking glass after glass…

Under normal circumstances, the bride and groom were supposed to be coaxed by the guests to drink, but not these two. In fact, they drank so much that by the time the banquet was over, they were still drinking!

Though Xavia wanted to tell them to stop, Zivon stopped her and said, “Are you still feeling sorry for him?”

Pushing her aside, Mark replied, “…You’re drunk. I’m taking you back to your room.”

Not even bothering to decline, she allowed him to carry her into her room… and after she was laid down, she watched as he turned to leave. Raising a slight brow, she grabbed his arm and asked, “Are you seriously not planning to touch me on my wedding night? Are you even a man?”

Now glaring at her, Mark replied, “If you’ve forgotten, allow me to remind you that I was forced to do this. With that said, I refuse to sleep with a woman whom I have no feelings for.”

Displeased by what he had to say, Stella then said, “Oh, get off your high horse. We’re married now, and I don’t want others to start gossiping that my husband refused to sleep with me on my wedding night. Makes me wonder if you’ve ever touched a woman in your life.”
