Then again, she couldn’t deny that she had spent the day with Mark just trying to help him deal with the issue… Sure, she was sad for him, but it had nothing to do with affectionate feelings.

After reassuring herself of that, Xavia hugged Zivon’s arm and said, “…Don’t worry, even if you hadn’t told me about the present, I wouldn’t have lost sleep because of him. Tell you what? Upon lying in bed, I’ll spend about an hour thinking about the gift before dozing off… and once I wake up tomorrow morning, I’ll finally see what it is.”

Truth be told, Zivon hadn’t even been mad at her. He simply didn’t want her to think of Mark too much. Regardless, after smiling in response, Zivon slowly drove the car into the palace…

Once inside, Zivon made sure to follow Xavia upstairs to pay the kids a visit. Naturally, the kids instantly hopped off their beds when they saw their father!

“Daddy! I miss you so much!”

“Heh. Daddy’s been so busy pursuing Mommy that he completely forgot about us till now!”

“Is that true, Daddy…?” muttered Yulia with a pout.

Feeling his heart soften, Zivon gently picked the kids up and sat them down on his thighs as he replied, “I didn’t forget about you two… I’ve just been busy trying to plan the perfect wedding for your mother to kickstart our happily ever after… Remember, though you two will still be able to have partners to spoil, your mother only has me… With that said, are you really trying to compete for affection with her…?”

Shaking their heads, the kids exclaimed, “Of course, not! We were just teasing you two! As long as you two are happy, then we’ll be happy!”

Shaking his head, he gently called out to her… but when she didn’t respond, he smiled before slowly unbuttoning his coat and jacket. Once he was done, he made sure to undo her coat as well, and soon enough, the woman was tucked in bed beside the kids.

Just as he was about to leave, however, the woman gently tugged his sleeve before mumbling, “Sleeping with us… tonight…?”

Before Zivon could even reply, her hand flopped to the side of the bed, signifying that she had only been sleep talking… Even so, that was enough to make Zivon choose to stay the night instead…

Fast forward to seven the next morning, Xavia was slowly awoken by the pleasant warmth of her man. Since she thought that she was still dreaming, she burrowed her face against his chest while muttering, “…You smell as nice as ever… Kisses please…”
