Fast forward to the next morning, Zivon waited till the kids had finished breakfast before finally leaving the palace. Xavia herself made sure to see him off… but shortly after he left, her message notification tone rang. It was a message from Jennie.

Since Jennie had been her donor and also the person who had told her the truth regarding Whitney’s situation, the indebted Xavia had felt that it was only right to keep in contact with her. Regardless, the message wrote, ‘How are things between Young Master Burton and Whitney now? Are they already married?’

…Come to think of it, why was Jennie still so interested in all this…? It took her a while, but Xavia eventually replied, ‘Before that… Mind telling me why you’re so curious about all this…?’

Upon reading that, Jenna couldn’t help but clench her fists. In all honesty, she had been curious about Whitney’s progression throughout her time in the treatment room, but she simply didn’t have any ways of prying! Shaking her head, Jenna was quick to reply, ‘…Well, I just want you and Young Master Burton to be happy… I saw how much he cared for you while he was still developing your antidote, and I really don’t want Whitney to win in the end…’

Since Jenna’s reply made sense, Xavia then texted, ‘I see… Don’t worry, Von and I will stick together till the very end.’

‘I’m glad to hear that…’ replied Jenna with a sigh of relief. As long as Whitney didn’t get the man she once loved, then everything was surely going to be fine…

It was evident that Whitney was trying to make the most out of her ‘celebrity moment,’ and Jenna revealed a subtle smirk as she said, “B-but of course! It’s an honor to be able to have lunch with a noble lady! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

Once they found some seats, Jenna waited a while before finally mustering the courage to ask, “Speaking of which, you seem awfully happy, Miss! Did something good happen today…?”

Chuckling in response, Whitney replied, “Well… let’s just say that the man of my dreams has finally agreed to marry me! I’m just here lingerie shopping to… You know.”
