Zivon described his thoughts in a slow-paced fashion.

Hearing this, Jenna’s expression changed slightly. She wondered out loud, “Zivon, are you sure?”

“Yes.”

The look in Jenna’s eyes darkened. She finally agreed without further hesitation. “I see. Don’t worry, I will work on this seriously.”

Xavia had sent away two sisters at once, so she felt a little down. However, she didn’t have a lot of time to feel sad or emotional because her wound was painful and uncomfortable. The pain intensified whenever the doctor checked on the operation wound and pressed her abdomen, as her complexion would turn pale and sweat broke out all over her body.

‘There’s no pain worse than the pain that women experience when they give birth. I don’t want to give birth anymore in this lifetime.’

Xavia couldn’t help but recall the time when she was a child. She was poor, but she grew up carefree. In the blink of an eye, she had been through so many things and became the mother of four children. Where had the time gone?

“Xav, I made special postpartum snacks and desserts for you. Would you like to have some?”

Xavia snapped out of her senses. She looked at the man, who looked handsome under the soft light, before her gaze fell on the exquisite snacks.

She asked in surprise, “You baked them yourself?”

“Yes.” Zivon put those snacks aside and took out a beautiful bouquet behind the wheelchair.

Lipsticks and diamond necklaces adorned the bouquet of pink tulips. Overall, the bouquet’s color appeared pinkish, and there was something glittery amid it.

“Wow! This is so beautiful!” Xavia’s eyes lit up in an instant, like the stars twinkling in the night sky. She was filled with joy.

Zivon told her softly, “I assembled this bouquet on my own to present it to my beautiful wife. Do you like it?”

Xavia gave a series of nods while replying, “I love it! I love it so much! Let me see your hand.”

She grabbed his slender hand and inspected it, only breathing a sigh of relief when there weren’t any cuts on it. “There’s no need for you to do this since you’re unwell.”

Xavia was speechless.

Was there any man that was so good at flirting with her out there? She had to admit her defeat right there and then.

Xavia was surprised by what happened next. Zivon would bring her handmade flower bouquets and exquisite snacks every day. Sometimes, he would conjure gifts out of nowhere like he was performing magic tricks.

Her melancholic mood was swept away. The days she needed to spend in the hospital quickly went by.

On the eighth day, Xavia was discharged from the hospital. She thought she was going home, but Zivon took her to an Airbnb decorated with blossoming flowers from all directions.

There were plenty of pink roses, blooming hydrangeas, and a salon decorated with pink gemstones and glass walls. This place resembled a town which came straight from a fairytale.

She was rather surprised. “This place is beautiful, but why are we here?”

Zivon explained lightly, “I heard that confinement is the most torturous period of time in a woman’s life, so I’m trying my best to transform it into your happiest period. We’ll live here for a week. We’ll look at the flowers during the day and the stars at night in the glass room. I think the view will lighten up your mood. I’ve already booked another location that has an equally nice view for next week too.”
