I drugged myself since I couldn’t bring myself to take the initiative without it… What else was I supposed to do when you’re always so gloomy because of your legs? I only wanted to help you regain your confidence… Again, I don’t think your condition is something to be ashamed about, and it’s my responsibility as your wife to do all this for your sake…”

Not wanting her to accidentally hurt herself, he gently let go of her before saying, “…Look, just… Give me two minutes. You can leave once I’m done.”

Raising a slight brow, Zivon replied, “You know that’s not what I meant. Are you trying to be sarcastic now?”

“Not at all. These are my genuine feelings.”

“…Putting that aside, did you consider Frank and Fabiola’s wellbeing before taking that drug? You do realize that they’ll be taking it too since you’re breastfeeding them, right?”
