Though Xavia felt terrible, she didn’t want to admit that she was thinking of how she was doomed to forever have bad luck… That aside, Keith was lying right beside them at the moment. How could he just hug her?!

Wiping her tears off, she then attempted to wiggle free as she muttered, “…I… I’m fine… Please let go of me…”

Zivon, however, did not. Instead, he wiped her new tears off before clasping her cheeks and saying, “Look, I don’t blame you for the injuries… Everyone goes through hardships, and God tosses them at us for a reason… We need hardships to grow, and if we only blame ourselves for every failed hardship, we’ll stagnate forever…”

“Though I ended up getting injured, I have to admit that fighting that wild boar was one hell of an experience… You know, had it not been poisoned, we could’ve barbecued it…” added Zivon in a mature tone.

…Despite how dangerous that situation had been, Zivon was saying it like it was just part of life. This prompted Xavia to momentarily chuckle as she replied, “…What, don’t tell me you haven’t had meat for that long to be this desperate…”

Now that the girl was smiling again, Xavia seemed so obedient… This prompted Zivon to whisper in her ear, “That’s not the only kind of meat I’m desperate for…”

Instantly knowing what he was getting at, Xavia quickly scowled, “Y-you pervert…! Unhand me, Young Master Burton!”

Though she said that, her words almost seemed inviting to Zivon… Regardless, he was then prompted to ask, “Before that… Still feeling upset?”

In response, Xavia simply shook her head. All those negative thoughts had been chased off by Zivon’s flirting…. Still, Xavia couldn’t help but feel her heart flutter. After all, to think that he had also been teasing her to get her mind off things… How was that person able to display such manly maturity at all times…?!

Xavia’s train of thought was cut short when shuffling could be heard nearby… Keith had awoken!

Feeling guilty, Xavia quickly broke free from Zivon’s grasp before saying, “…The medicine’s been applied, Young Master Burton… I’ll go wash my hands first before bringing you two your breakfast…”

Watching as Xavia then ran off, Keith was prompted to glance at Zivon while thinking, ‘…Something’s off with those two… What had they been doing while I was out cold…?’

Realizing that Keith was staring at him, Zivon simply maintained a poker face as he tidied his clothes up…
