Xavia's heart was currently in chaos… Come to think of it, he had easily recognized her back when they met at the wedding… She remembered scolding him for being jealous of Keith, and because he wasn’t looking out for Jenna despite her being such a good woman… Hell, she had even met up with Stefan at the time due to a quarrel with him, and she recalled wanting to leave with Stefan back then…

Following that, more and more memories began popping up… and each of them involved her getting irritated by him despite the fact that he had been protecting her this entire time! Naturally, the crowd was displeased to hear that, but there was nothing they could do about it. In the end, all they could do was leave bitterly…

Xavia herself remained frozen in place, looking incredibly pale… and after half an hour passed, Dolly eventually sighed before pushing her home… Throughout the journey back, Xavia couldn’t help but continue thinking whether Chace was right… Whether she truly wasn’t even qualified to be within Zivon’s presence anymore…

Following that day, Xavia spent a week in the hospital. Throughout the first six days, her misery negatively affected her health, causing her injury to worsen and even making her fever more severe! In the end, her wound ended up getting so inflamed that she had to continually get infusions just to relieve it…

Thankfully, she managed to make a full recovery on the seventh day…

“How are you feeling, Xavia…?” asked Dolly, prompting Xavia to force a subtle smile.

“…I’m fine… Has Yulia’s condition improved at all in the past few days…?” replied Xavia, to which Dolly simply shook her head…

Seeing that, Xavia’s heart couldn’t help but throb. To think that her well-behaved and lovely daughter could remain in the intensive care unit, never to awaken again…!

Xavia herself waited in a dark corner of the parking lot throughout the event, and it was only at nine that night when she received a message from Dolly, stating, ‘The banquet’s over! Action time!’

Quickly making sure that she was in character, Xavia then took a deep breath… before walking over to Jenna’s car. Thankfully, she was able to perfectly mimic Jenna’s walking style… However, the second she got in, Xavia couldn’t help but widen her eyes in shock.

After all, the one driving wasn’t Jenna’s manager… Instead, it was a familiar prestigious face who had his eyes closed…! From the looks of it, he was rather uncomfortably drunk, and the fact that he smelled of red wine only solidified that fact… Regardless, it was Zivon…! To think that he’d be here instead…!
