Speaking of Xavia, she was currently watching old footage of Jenna and that Dolston Hospital doctor back in the bar room. As long as she could find footage of Jenna bribing that doctor, then she’d surely be able to progress with her investigation!

“…Say… I’m not sure if it’s just me but… Doesn’t it seem like she’s always extremely frank with this doctor? Like, they’re being so formal… It’s almost as though she had known that someone would investigate her…”

“I see it. With how ‘polite’ she’s being, it’s clear that she’s simply putting up an act! That b*tch really knows how to cover her tracks!” grumbled Dolly.

Nodding in response, Xavia couldn’t believe that she had once considered the fact that Jenna could’ve been a good person… How foolish. Shaking the thought off, Xavia then said, “We’re in agreement, then. I think the footage we’re viewing is too recent for this investigation. We need to check on older footage. Thankfully, Keith’s on our side…”

Keith had helped her a lot in the past few days. Not only had he destroyed all the evidence that could point to where she was, but he had even provided a secure space for her. What’s more, he hadn’t even asked for anything in return, which made Xavia feel all the more grateful to him. Still, it really made her wonder what was going on on Zivon’s side…

Her train of thought was cut short when she suddenly heard a knock on the door, followed by someone saying, “Please open the door, Miss. I’m here to refill the water dispenser.”

Since there hadn’t been any danger in the past three days, Xavia thought little about it and simply walked toward the door… However, upon opening it, her eyes instantly widened! Instead of a waiter standing outside, there were a group of intimidating-looking bodyguards instead…!

Now as white as a sheet, Xavia found herself taking a step back as she stuttered, “Y-Young Master Burton…!”

Just as she was thinking about closing the door, Zivon was promoted to reply, “So you do understand what fear means… Take her.”

That was the last thing she could say before she was dragged back to that mansion… After tossing her at the entrance, the guards quietly left, leaving only Zivon standing before her, looking as distant as the night sky…

Feeling incredibly anxious, Xavia was prompted to say, “Y-Young Master Burton, I-”

“Stop. Reflect on your actions for a second. Still, you’re something else to have contacted your ex-boyfriends to drug me up… Let’s see how they save you this time,” interrupted Zivon as he glared daggers at the stunned woman. What did he mean ex-boyfriends? Did he really have to say it like that!

Before she could even attempt to explain herself, he had already entered the mansion and locked the door, leaving her alone in the big garden… The night air was cool, and with darkness creeping in, Xavia couldn’t help but feel her heart sink little by little…
