It didn’t take long before she heard him add, “I won’t let you down.”

Just as she was wondering what he meant by that, she suddenly felt a sharp strike against the back of her head… and the very next second, she passed out!

After catching onto her and gently brushing her hair off her cheeks, Zivon couldn’t help but give her a good, long look. Though she had made sure to perfectly mimic Jenna makeup, hairstyle, and outfit wise, Zivon had always been able to tell her apart simply from how much comfort and delight she provided him…

Gently kissing her on the forehead, Zivon then said, “If you wish to start over, say it to me when you’re sober… I’ll wait however long it takes.”

Moving back to Dr. Blinsky, his face was already badly bruised after being mercilessly beaten up in the morgue. It didn’t help that the back of his head was still bleeding due to Xavia’s earlier attack.

Just as the doctor thought that things couldn’t get any worse, he suddenly heard footsteps approaching… and upon looking up, he was greeted by the sight of the prestigious Zivon Burton, looking as icy and terrifying as a phantom…!

Now scared out of his wits, the doctor immediately began kowtowing as he exclaimed, “Y-Young Master Burton…! Please, hear me out first…! Madam was the one who instructed me to leave the patient in that state…! I only agreed out of being pressured…!”

“That aside, the kidney thing was also Madam’s idea! T-the worst part is, she tried to put the blame on me at the very end! Just look at the wound she inflicted on the back of my head! I…! I…! Y-Young Master Burton, please, I beg of you…! Please give me another chance…!” howled the doctor as disgusting amounts of blood began staining the floor…

Despite all that, Zivon remained completely unfazed. Instead, he casually replied, “I never give criminals second chances. Now tell me, which hand did you use to hurt her…? Also, I heard you fed her drugs…?”

With how pressuring his voice was, the doctor quickly found himself going pale. To think that even after hearing his explanation, Zivon still didn’t care about what Jenna had done at all…! Hell, he was even defending that woman…?!

Since the doctor wasn’t saying anything, Zivon raised a slight brow as he added, “So… Not saying anything? I’ll take it that you hurt her with both hands then.”

Around that time, Jenna could be seen tending the flowers in the courtyard. While doing so, however, she noticed a sparkle in the soil. Raising a slight brow, she then bent down to pick the object up… only to realize that it was a hairpin! What was a hairpin doing here…?

Just as she was wondering about it, she heard the sound of a car pulling up. Realizing that it was Zivon, she immediately slipped the hairpin away before walking over with a smile as she said, “Welcome back, Zivon.”

Since she had visited the doctor with him this morning, she thought that he’d at least care a bit more about her… To her dismay, he simply glared daggers at her while replying, “I’m officially announcing our divorce today.”

…He… W-what?! B-but he had been treating her so much better after Xavia left the picture…! Where was this coming from…?!

Now trembling violently, Jenna was prompted to ask, “W-why…?”
