Naan was ordered by Gavin to get Brienna ready, she was not to leave her room until the priest arrived he warned.

Haroun stood by wary of the downward spiral his friend was taking. Although astonished by what Gavin had told him, he did not like his approach to the situation at hand. But, t'was the kings orders and they could not disobey them. He stood by and watched as Brienna entered the greathall. Eyes swollen from crying and head bent she was the docile bride Gavin commanded she be or suffer his wrath. He listened to the poor frail priest stammer out the marriage vows in stark fright for Gavin after he barked at him to get on with it fast or he will need another priest to perform his last rites...on his own death bed.

Haroun buried his face in his hand.

His friend has absolutely either gone mad or has no fear for his mortal soul at this point.

The tenseness that was over the keep was vivid and everyone knew of it and his heated argument with Brienna.

It had all in an uproar of nerves.

Rolling his eyes, Haroun watched poor Naan and the other servants huddled in a corner crying. There was no secret of this union and that in part it was a good match because they could grow to love one another. It was plain to the naked eye the was an attraction between them, But only if they both set aside their iron clad differences, the marriage could work.

She stood beside him head bent hiding the tears that filled her eyes. Through trembling lips she repeated her vows that she was to obey, serve and love him. The words and ramblings from the priest only set her hairs on edge.

Her hands layed limp in Gavin's strong clasped hands, if her hands were not holding them, she would have bolted before the priest could utter a word.

With the final words, it jolted her back to reality.

"You may kiss your bride," The priest blurted out in a high pitch tone.

He turned to stare into hazel eyes that broiled with so much hurt. He quickly caressed her neck and pulled her close and claimed her lips in a fast sensuous brutal kiss. As fast as he kissed his bride, he was gone.

And there it was, she dashed away a tear.

Her fate was sealed with a kiss.

She walked with Naan towards the stairs to Gavins chamber where she would now and forever sleep. As she walked slowly up the stairs her heart began to race.

She sat silently in tears. She downed swig after swig of wine, trying to calm her senses. Until, Naan sadly pried the cup from her hands. She was bathed in fragrant water, her hair was brushed until it lay like soft silk, loose down her back. She was donned in a feather light sheer chemise that hid little and bared much.

She sat with her cheeks aflamed with Naan's rendition of the wedding night and what to expect. Although, she knew from her own experience the acts of making love, she did not know what went beyond it.
