I picked up my phone and turned off the speaker. "No big deal. I got cleaned up and bandaged at the hospital. There’s no need to come over."

Still, Gabrielle was worried. "I just can't help but worry. You said you'd stay at school and that already had me all stressed out. So, I sent Claude to bring you home, and Kate was there, too. I'm sorry you had to endure that. I'll ensure she's out by tomorrow."

"Mrs. Hart, it's late. Don't work yourself up. I'm fine. Get some rest. See you tomorrow." I looked forward to seeing Gabrielle and Kate's showdown the next day.
