Alexander said, “If you want to sign her, just do it. Why are you coming, to me? 

Vance hesitated, unsure how to explain. 

Why? 

Because I want to sign your wife. Who else would I talk to about this? 

Vance’s mind raced, 

Could it be that Alex was actually agreeing? 

Progressive, aren’t we? 

“Alex, are you saying you’re okay with your wife signing with Zenith Entertainment?” Vance asked, testing the waters and hoping to finalize things quickly. 

“Who did you say you want to sign?” Alexander narrowed his eyes. 

Vance froze, then pointed at the video on his phone. 

“Your… your wife…” 

Alexander looked at the young woman in the video playing the piano, his expression darkening. 

“Who is she?”

Vance was dumbfounded. 

“St. Rona Academy’s performance department. I just called to confirm–her name is Olivia Carter. Isn’t she… isn’t she your wife, Olivia?” 

Alexander stared at the girl in the video, elegantly seated at the piano in a formal gown. Even though it was just a side profile, her grace and confidence were unmistakable. 

He couldn’t reconcile this image with the timid, cautious Olivia who lived in his house. 

Alexander had never known Olivia could play the piano, let alone sing with such an enchanting voice.
