When Yolanda walked into the living room, she noticed that both Harold and Diana looked displeased. Although Yvonne put on a somewhat pensive expression, she couldn't completely hide the glee in her eyes.

From Yvonne's expression, Yolanda immediately guessed that whatever her parents had stayed up to confront her about was definitely not good news.

"You come home so late every day, and all you do is fool around. You're dragging the Henderson family's reputation through the mud!" Diana scolded, pointing a finger at Yolanda angrily.

Before Harold could say anything, she berated harshly, "Ever since you got out of the juvenile detention center, I haven't even dared to go to any social gatherings with the other wealthy ladies for fear of being asked about you! Can't you be more like Yvonne and let me have some peace of mind?"

As Yolanda listened to Diana's words, she still couldn't figure out why the two of them were so upset. Thus, she remained silent and sat down on the couch opposite them without saying a word.

"Did I say you could sit?" Harold fumed.

Upon seeing Yolanda's indifferent attitude, Harold became even more furious and got straight to the point. "Tell me, why did you make a bet with the board of directors at First Academy?"

They wouldn't have known about this if Diana hadn't attended the gathering with the other rich ladies that afternoon.

The monthly exam was less than two weeks away. Zora had smugly mocked Diana, saying that she was about to have a daughter who would be expelled from First Academy.

At first, Diana was absolutely confused and could barely hold herself from lashing out at Zora. Only then did she learn from her that Yolanda had entered into a bet with the school's board of directors.

"If you don't get first place in the monthly exam and the upcoming physics competition, you'll drop out. How foolish could you be to make such a bet?" Diana shouted angrily, looking as if she were deeply disappointed.

But Yolanda, who was not yet formally recognized as Gavin's fiancée, used the Savage family's connections to secure contracts for them even before an engagement ceremony took place.

This would only reflect poorly on the Henderson family if word got out. If Gavin's parents found out, they would only think the Henderson family were opportunists driven solely by greed.

"You stole your sister's fiancé. Now, you're flaunting your status as Mr. Savage's fiancée to show off everywhere. Do you know how foolish your actions are? You'll only become a laughingstock among the upper-class families!"

"Grandpa had originally agreed that the eldest daughter of the Henderson family would be engaged to Gavin. Tell me how did I steal her fiancé?" Yolanda finally spoke up.

"How dare you talk back to us?" Harold was taken aback for a moment. Then, his expression morphed into anger arising out of embarrassment.
