"Even if I was hired, I'd still have to meet Stella and the rest in the office, and it'd be a little awkward." Winnie shook her head. "Forget it."

"You don't have to worry about that. They're all going to leave Cinnamine Pharmaceuticals soon," said Yolanda.

"Huh? Why would they leave such a great job?"

Winnie was a little confused.

"Maybe they have found better benefits somewhere else."

Yolanda was worried that Winnie would feel more burdened if she were to tell Winnie the truth now. So, she changed the topic.

"Send me your home's location. I'll send you home."

"Okay."

Winnie was just about to grab her phone when she was suddenly reminded of something else. She asked cautiously, "Oh, Yolanda, what's going on with your family? I heard you've moved out?"

"Yes." Yolanda nodded.

"I now have nothing to do with the Hendersons anymore."

Winnie was quiet for a while. She seemed to be trying to find words to console Yolanda.

After a while, she said, "It's pretty late now. It'll still take another 30 minutes for you to send me home. What if I stayed over at your place tonight?"

"Sure, no problem. I already have a guest bedroom ready for you."

Yolanda thought about it and asked, "You haven't eaten, right? Shall we order in?"

"Sure!" Winnie whipped out her phone immediately.

"I kept mentioning last time that I wanted to treat you to a meal, but it just got indefinitely postponed. Don't worry, this meal won't count. I'll buy you a fancy meal next time!"

Winnie had always thought that it was her problem, so when she had to meet with Yvonne again, she would treat Yvonne better solely because of the guilt she felt.

However, they hadn't been seeing each other ever since Yvonne got into First Academy. They also might not meet each other during the festivities, so their relationship that was once decent once again faded and felt unfamiliar.

"Maybe Aunt Diana just misunderstood you. When she finds out the truth, she'll regret it for sure."

"You're wrong."

Yolanda might agree with Winnie in her other views, but not this.

Before meeting Diana or Harold, Yolanda also assumed that there would not be any parents who wouldn't love their children.
