Jamie walked over and tried to help Viktor up, but he slapped her hand across the face. "Shut up! How dare you call her some worthless adopted daughter? If you dare disrespect Ms. Henderson again, I'll break your legs and have you grounded for a month!"

Usually, Viktor would have to mind Xavier's feelings no matter how much trouble Jamie caused. He would not have slapped her so hard or scolded her. But his future was now in Yolanda's hands, so he could not risk Jamie ruining everything.
