Chapter 73 She Can’t Do Anything
A male voice came from the living room, and then a man walked in quickly.
Anaya saw that it was Hearst.
She suspected that she heard it wrong because she was sick.
Anaya heard Hearst call her Ana.
Before she could think clearly, Hearst bent down and picked Anaya up. He walked out of the kitchen and gently placed her on the sofa in the living room.
His movements were careful as if Anaya was a fragile doll.
Hearst squatted in front of Anaya and looked up at her slightly. There was a trace of worry on his usually cold and reserved face, as well as other emotions that she could not understand.
“Why did you fall?” Hearst asked softly.
For some reason, Anaya felt a little wronged when he asked this question.
Anaya thought that perhaps it was because she had a cold that she became so sentimental, like a
teenage girl.
Her voice was hoarse and rough. “I just want to boil some water.”
“And then?” Hearst asked.
Anaya curled up her legs, put her arms around her knees, and said gloomily.
“I’m so useless. I recklessly thought that I could be my grandfather’s safe haven and allow him to live a long life and enjoy his later years.
“But in the end, I couldn’t do anything. I can’t even heat up the water.”
Hearst patiently comforted Anaya, “But you performed CPR on him. If it weren’t for you, he might be worse than he is now.”
Anaya raised her head from her knees and regained some spirit. “Is that so?”
Hearst gave her affirmation. “Yes.”
Anaya looked at hirn for a long time and said, “Can you help me boll some water?”
Hearst smiled, “Alright, Ms Dutt
Anaya drank the water, took the medicine, and said, “Please take me to the hospital.”
She wanted to stay by Adams’s side.
Otherwise, Anaya would never feel at ease.
“There are people watching over there. You should sleep first.”
“But…”
“Sleep.”
After Anaya took the medicine, she was already extremely sleepy.
Hearing that, she stopped arguing and went back to bed.
“Take me to the hospital when I wake up.”
Hearst sighed and compromised. “Alright.”
When Anaya fell asleep, Hearst’s gentle face instantly turned cold.
As he walked out of the bedroom, Jayden called.
“Mr. Helms, we found out that Frank asked someone to buy Astirin in the pharmacy. He should be the one who drugged Mr. Dutt.”
Frank was very cautious. The medicine took a few turns before it finally came to him. They used all their connections and searched for a night before finding the few people who participated in this matter and asking for the result.
Jayden asked, “Should we bring Frank over?”
Hearst sat down on the sofa, his eyes deep.
“No need Give the evidence to Anaya. This is her family affair. She will settle it herself.”
Joshua went to work as usual, but he was somewhat restless. He was powerless to do anything.
and he even made several important documents wrong.
If Alex hadn’t confirmed it one by one, the Maltz Group would have lost tens of millions of dollars.
Alex handed Joshua a cup of coffee and asked tentatively, “Mr. Maltz, are you feeling unwell?”
Joshua glanced at himn coldly and said in a somewhat bad tone, “How did you see that?”
Alex was silent
He wanted to say that Joshua did not look right anywhere.
But he didn’t dare.
Joshua went home to eat dinner with Cecilia by the time he got off work.
At the dining table, Cecilia asked him, “Has your engagement with Lexie been broken?”
“What? Are you unhappy? You‘re actually happy, aren’t you? That old man has always been unfriendly to you. You must be angry too. I’m your mother. Don’t pretend to be innocent.” Cecilia slowly took a sip of the soup
I’m not the same as you,” Joshua said, his fingers turning white as he held his fork.
“Where are you going?” Cecilia asked.
Yarden said that Adams had woken up around four in the afternoon, and he went back to rest when he saw Adams wake up.
Yarden had been in the hospital for a long time, so he should be very tired. Anaya did not disturb him. After chatting for a while, she hung up and got up from the bed.
After taking the medicine and sleeping for a day, Anaya was no longer dizzy.
The sun had set outside, and the bright moon hung on the horizon.
She pushed open the door and went out. Hearst was sitting on the sofa in the living room. His slender fingers were tapping on the notebook keyboard. It seemed that he was writing something.
Hearing the noise, he stood up and looked back at Anaya.
There was no light in the room, and the room was dim. Hearst was tall and straight, half hidden in the dark. Moonlight plated her with a mysterious color.
“Do you want to eat something?”
‘Send me to the hospital.” Anaya shook her head.
She was much better now. Hearst did not stop her. “There are new toiletries in the hanging
cabinet”
Anaya nodded and went into the bathroom to wash.
A brand-new set of women’s clothing was placed on the sink. Anaya had not yet recovered from
the cold and could not take a bath, so she changed into it.
Hearst packed the food and let Anaya eat in the car.
When Hearst and Anaya arrived at the hospital, Adams was already awake in the ward.
Frank and Mark were waiting outside the intensive care unit. They saw Anaya coming and wanted
to greet her, but Anaya ignored them.
Mark gritted his teeth and wanted to say a few words to Anaya, but Frank stopped him.
Anaya could not enter the intensive care unit and could only look at Adams through the glass window.
Adams seemed to have noticed her as well. He turned his head to look at Anaya and smiled weakly at her, trying to appease her emotions.
There were tears in Anaya’s eyes, but she also smiled at Adams.
Not long after she stood outside the ward, Tim called.
“Ms. Dutt, Frank has a record of buying Astirin in the pharmacy not long ago.
