Morgan stared at the gem. He could even see the deep emerald-green in the cracks of the gem. It looked wonderful.

"Do you see it?" Lily asked impatiently.

"I see it! Lily, why is this gem placed in such an obvious place? Isn't Hayden worried about it getting stolen? Can we contact him right now?" Morgan's eyes lit up as he stared intently at Lily.

"That's the problem! I can't reach him, and I'm worried about the gem. If we don't stay here to guard it, someone will definitely steal it. If Hayden can't give it to Dad tomorrow, it'll be a big problem." Lily's expression was serious, her words resolute.

Her words showed her concern for the Sterling family. They exchanged glances, each reading the other's thoughts.

"Lily, I'm worried that someone will steal it too. Hayden would be sad if that happened, and he might not even be able to return to the Sterling family. Should we take it and bring it to our family first?
