"You have to surpass Morgan in every aspect so that the others' opinions won't crush you," Anna said sternly, grabbing Hayden's arm.

There was a pleading look in her eyes. Hayden had never seen that before.

He was silent for a moment, but then chilling memories flashed through his mind. In the end, his icy demeanor remained.

"The SAT concerns my life, not yours. Morgan is a swine in my eyes. He's no match for me at all. The Sterling family's heir is none of my business. I don't want anything to do with the Sterlings. I simply want to enjoy the show," Hayden declared his decision callously.

Then, he walked back to the car and door for Jenny before leaving with her.

"Hayden…" Anna watched as he left. It was as if something had shattered in her heart. She had never felt so dejected.

Anna was conceited and contemptuous. With her ingenuity, almost nothing in life could impede her.

Regardless, she was stricken that day. Her biological brother had laid a trap and was waiting for the Sterlings to jump in. She couldn't believe how heartless he was.

Despondent, Anna reached home. There wasn't a smile on her face.

She couldn't find Julia. The latter had been busy at the office. She seemed to be doing her own thing as well.

"What happened to you? You look upset." Lily walked over and asked, concerned.

"I'm alright, Lily. Don't worry." Anna immediately put on a smile and shook her head slightly.

"You've been going out often lately. Is something up?" Lily asked with concern again.
