The man’s voice was a mix of roughness and an alluring rasp, irresistible but carrying a trace of bitterness. 

The camera, as if by accident, caught a glimpse of the man standing not far behind Melody. 

Because of the angle, only his body from the jaw down was visible in the dim, shadowy light.
