Andros’s POV

I held back a smirk after Asha finished her words. I’m glad that Asha understood the situation and saw how these things are unfair to us. I no longer have to say anything to open her eyes.

As her older brother and only sibling, I know Asha more than she knows herself. Asha rarely dislikes someone, but if she does, she won’t change her heart easily.

Asha is willful and stubborn, not to mention that she’s also very competitive as well.

When Asha confessed that she didn’t like Astrid, I knew Astrid would never stand a chance in winning Asha’s heart like the way she did to my father.

Asha is straightforward, but she can also be petty at times. I could only wonder what kinds of troubles Asha had thrown upon Astrid in the three years that she’d been staying here.

Knowing my sister, she’s not afraid of anything. If she’s angry, she’s angry. She never fakes anything.

“Asha,” my brows bent downwards as I uttered her name. I softly reached out to her and gently squeezed her arm. “You know how much Astrid suffered, growing up. Astrid is already pitiful enough. She grew up without the same privileges as us, we should understand why father gives her so much favor.”

Asha’s pout turned into a scowl when she heard my words. “She doesn’t deserve what we had. Just because she was abandoned she thinks she’s entitled to everything.” Asha clenched her fist as she held in her fury.

“Ever since she arrived, dad gave her everything. He showered her with love and care. We were pushed aside as she took all dad’s attention, but what did Dad get in return?” Asha asked me with coiled fury.

“Not once have I ever heard her call him dad. Dad treats him like his one and only daughter, but she had never acknowledged him as her father. She’s being so obvious that she’s just using dad for his position and power.”

I opened my mouth, about to interrupt her, but she continued.

“For the past three years, she always told me and dad that she had no intentions of staying here, but what answer did she gave us earlier? The moment dad presented her an opportunity to stay here forever as his daughter, she did not hesitate to say ‘yes’,” Asha huffed angrily after she finished what she had to say.

“Asha, Astrid must have her own reasons. Something must have changed her mind along the way. I don’t see any reason why she would lie about her intentions,” I tried to reason out with her.
