Giselle’s POV
My arms around Killian tightened as worry gripped my heart. All I could think of was how I could pull him out of there without making me look disrespectful and weird.
What is Damien thinking of?! Is he going to expose me? If he does, then Vanessa will find out that he had a child with me and that he lied to her about it.
I don’t care if they divorce because of this, but I can’t afford to lose the Luna title if my secrets were exposed.
“Killian, I—“ my words were cut short when Damien glanced at me.
He pinned me down with his gaze, silently questioning what I was so scared of. I didn’t say anything more when Damien did not add anything else to his words.
What are Killian and I even doing here with them? Why is Killian so interested in their child, and why did he even call me here?
Is it because he knows something?
My eyes snapped to him in fear as soon as I had this thought. I looked into his face, trying to read his thoughts.
“I have an only son named Ryker and he will be the future Alpha of our Pack,” Killian replied. “Well, isn’t this great? I have a son and you have a daughter and both of them are the same age.”
My eyes widened when I realized what Killian had actually been thinking the whole time.
I thought he was suspecting something. I’m so relieved that wasn’t the case. It turns out that the reason why Killian is so interested in Damien’s child is because he takes Hazel as a potential mate and Luna as his son.
I froze as I thought of that possible. What if Hazel is Ryker’s mate? Wouldn’t that mean I could still be a mother to Hazel and I could still have the chance to be close to her?
Damien instantly shook his head as soon as he figured out where Killian was going. “As for that, it’s not for us parents to decide,” Damien answered in a clipped voice.
I knew Damien wouldn’t want this. He would never want his daughter to be anywhere near me. I’ve done so many bad things, making me undeserving of being anywhere near my child.
“Of course, of course. It’s not for us to decide, nor the children’s. It’s up to the moon goddess herself,” Killian agreed.
Damien fell silent, unable to think of a counter-argument.
“For sure, the moon goddess already had someone planned for them,” Killian added after a pause.
