Astrid’s POV
The battlefield was eerily quiet, the echoes of the fight lingering in the heavy air. As I gained control over my Almega wolf, my senses were restored as I free from my wolf’s control.
I stood there, still in my wolf form, but no longer shackled by my wolf’s evil thoughts.
My heart pounded with the raw power of my wolf still surging through me.
Andros lay at my feet, battered and defeated. His once smug expression was gone, replaced by anger and humiliation.
Around us, his remaining warriors had either surrendered or fled.
I looked at him, my chest heaving, my mind racing. The rage that had fueled me moments ago was gone, replaced by something colder: clarity.
“You’ve lost, Andros,” I said, speaking to him through my wolf, my voice steady but filled with finality. “This ends now.”
He spat blood onto the ground, glaring up at me. “You stole everything me! I wouldn’t have gone to such great lengths if father didn’t made the decision to make you the Pack’s Leader. “
My eyes went wide. As he faces defeat, I expected that he would feel remorse for everything that he did. Instead, he is still placing all the blame on me.
I shifted to my human and pinned him on the ground. “You killed your own father just to be an Alpha. You even used Ryker as a pawn to kill me, all for your ambition. Is this all you wanted to say?!”
His gaze hardened, unmoved by my words. “I’ve already lost. There’s no need for you to lecture me. Now kill me!”
My eyes narrowed as I raised my hand, my nails long and sharp, aiming to swipe on his neck and end his life.
“Astrid, don’t!” Asha shouted, stopping my arm midair. “Please… don’t kill him. He’s still our brother,” she pleaded, her voice breaking.
I looked at her, my jaw tightening. “After everything he’s done? After what he did to our Father?”
Asha nodded, her tears spilling over. “I know. I know what he’s done. But I can’t let him die. If Father is here, I know he wouldn’t want this too. When father was alive, all he ever wanted was to see all of us getting along with each other.”
The tension in my chest tightened knowing that she’s right. Father wouldn’t want to see us like this, killing each other.
I turned back to Andros, who was watching me, waiting for what decision I’m going to make.
His mouth fell open when I stepped back. I straightened, my decision made.
“Andros,” I said, my voice firm, resonating with the authority I now fully embraced. “From now on, I declare that you will be a rogue for the rest of your life. No packs shall take you in. You are stripped of your power and your title. You’ll no longer be a threat to anyone until the day you die.”
The weight of my words hung heavily in the air, and for a moment, Andros’s defiance flickered.
His chest heaved as he stared at me, his face pale and sweat-slicked.
