Chapter 383

Alexander instructed Lucas and slowly went upstairs with the hot soup.

The sound of someone washing up could be heard in the bathroom. It did not take long for Aveline to come out drenched in water.

As soon as the door was opened, she saw Alexander, and their eyes met.

Her hair was still wet, and her fair face was cold and hard. Her bathrobes exposed her slender collarbones.

Alexander quickly averted his gaze, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly.

That image of Aveline reminded him of that erotic dream. After all, even the touch of their bodies felt too real.

It was so real that he still remembered Aveline's body temperature and her moans, which made his heart palpitate.

"The soup is ready, come and taste if it is well done."

After running back and forth early in the morning, Aveline hadn't even had a bite of food, and her stomach was already aching.

She was taken away from the island by Adam, and they left in a hurry without her bringing the medicine.

That was originally a one-month dosage. During the half month of taking it, Aveline did not have any stomach pain or vomit blood.

Bryce repeatedly asked not to stop taking the medicine and to take it on time every day.

But during the past few days of her return, his phone has been unreachable, and as a result of cutting off her medication, her stomach started to hurt again.

So she didn't have any issues with his request and said, "Thank you."

Aveline avoided Alexander's hand, which was about to feed her the soup. The temperature was just right, and she drank it all in one gulp.

Alexander took a towel and gently wiped her hair. The gentle technique made her feel like fragile porcelain, and he was indescribably cautious.

Aveline only found it ridiculous, but she did not stop him from doing it.

After eating and drinking to her heart's content, she lay down on the bed and said, "I want to sleep."

Although she wouldn't argue with Alexander now, and she wouldn't reject his advances. But if there were too much rapport between them, there would be too many openings.

"Mr. Kingsley." Aveline called out softly.

Adam's eyes were red, and he acknowledged, "You're here..."

Aveline sat down beside him and asked, "How is Mom's situation?"

"Multiple of her organs are beginning to fail."

Aveline gripped her palm tightly. "How did things go down the hill like this?"

Adam looked up at the sky, "I also want to know why. Liz has always been healthy. How did she end up like this?"

He suddenly thought of something, "I won't let her die, no matter what the cost."

"Mr. Kingsley, what do you want to do?"

Adam's face carried a terrifying paranoid expression.

"Aveline, have you ever heard of a medical organization called Poisonous Worm? They can heal someone who is close to dying and their medical level far exceeds international medical organizations. If I find them, Liz will be saved!"
