Aveline put down the flower basket and explained, “I am her friend, I just came to see her and then 

leave.” 

“No need for that, strangers will only worsen her condition. Miss Blackwood, please.” 

Sheila stuffed a pillow into Aveline’s arms and said with despair, “Take my child and leave quickly. You must raise her well. I’ll hold these people back for you. Hurry, escape!” 

With that, she fiercely threw the fruit basket that Aveline had brought towards the attending doctor. “I’ll kill you, you devil! You want to take away my child, I’ll kill you!” 

Security guards wearing explosive–proof helmets and shields rushed out from outside the door and used electric batons to knock her down. Then, four people quickly tied her up on the bed. 

Sheila continued to roar, “Give me back my child!” 

As the sedative was injected, she gradually lost her resistance and soon fell asleep. 

Aveline, who witnessed all of this, felt a chill down her spine. Rather than calling this place a hospital, it was more like a prison. They were not doctors, but guards.

When Aveline left, she turned her head and happened to see Doctor Merrell scolding the nurses in a rage, as if he was berating them for putting her in here.

Aveline felt something was off, especially since Doctor Merrell had never seen her before, yet he seemed to recognize her. 

According to the information from Alexander, Sheila had an incident after the college entrance examination. She was abandoned by Anthony, and after having an abortion, she became mentally unstable and was sent to the hospital for treatment. 

But her recent behavior was obviously strange. She kept calling out for her child but never mentioned anything about her father. Could it be that her father had dealt her a devastating blow?

Aveline then went to Sheila’s home to find out what had happened back then. 

When she arrived at Witcher house, it had already been rented out to someone else. Witcher parents had immigrated abroad with the whole family a year ago. 

They left their daughter and went abroad? This made Aveline even more puzzled. 

Witcher family had an ordinary background, so even if their son had good grades, where did they get the money to go abroad?
