Liesel stood up and approached him. Leaning down, she stared at him intently. Her eyes glinted like obsidian. "So long as you don't lend a hand to Sharp Group, then… what I did will have been useful."

Gazing at him, she asked, "Jacob, will you help Jeffrey?"

Would he help Jeffrey for Natalie's sake?

Jacob paused for a moment. At last, he averted his gaze and said indifferently, "I won't get involved. This is between you and your father."

This time, Natalie didn't suffer that much damage. The target of the attacks and mockery was Jeffrey. Perhaps Liesel was just getting revenge for what happened on Heather's death anniversary, so he didn't have a reason to stop her.

Seeing her sweet smile, Jacob imagined reaching out to pinch her soft cheeks. They must feel just like tofu.
