Chapter 118 novel Regretful Tears Won't Bring Her Back

It felt like the oppressive presence of someone who had long stood at the pinnacle of power and prestige. This was almost the exact same feeling Vivian got from Jacob.

So, this was… his secretary? Vivian felt a lump in her throat. For a moment, she deeply regretted acting recklessly without much thought.

"Ms. Secretary…" Her voice was dry.

Before Vivian could utter an apology, Liesel gently tapped the wooden railing beside her. On the railing sat a stunning bouquet of irises, which accentuated her beauty.

Liesel's voice carried a faint hint of amusement. "I'm not his secretary anymore."

It felt that she had deliberately chosen this moment to speak. "I'm just the manager. You can call me Ms. Sharp."

So, Liesel was not his secretary. Her words seemed to draw clear boundaries between herself and Jacob.

Vivian was stunned by her words. Yet, Liesel remained composed. She smiled calmly.

"Ms. Sharp, I didn't mean to bump into you on purpose. I just got too excited when I saw Mr. Ford." Vivian's eyes dazzled brightly, and her tone was full of admiration at the mention of Jacob.

"I've learned about some financial case studies involving Mr. Ford recently. There's a successful overseas negotiation case, which my professor called the 'Bait Talks'."

"We secured a deal 20% below their initial valuation, and Ms. Sharp played the most important role in accomplishing this. It was she who controlled our strategy.

"With her careful research, we got to force them to settle at the lowest possible price. This is how we secured several major industrial chains under them in Fruece.

"If you're so fascinated by the 'Bait Talks' case, how could you not even know who was the crucial strategist here? Or was it that your professor was confused and gave me undeserved recognition? If so, this has to be corrected."

Was it really a mistake by Vivian's professor? Not at all. This was her little trick. She knew it was Liesel behind the "Bait Talks," but she insisted on flattering Jacob instead.

From Vivian's perspective, he deserved the credit since he was the CEO of Ford Corporation. Without him, Liesel wouldn't have had the chance to participate in that negotiation.
