The female listen as Dante in sobbing explains to her over the phone details of the first time he met Daniella, the rejection to torturing and provoking her to accept his rejection and then to him almost went crazy when he pushes her to her limit.

When he finishes she didn’t speak for almost 3 minutes until she says “I thought you were better than that Dante.”

“I know” he cries through the phone

“you shouldn’t have done that Dante” the female began to cry on the other end. “You have to fix it Dante before it’s too late and don’t you dare not thinking of doing it,” Dante only nods at the other end “promise Dante that you would fix it”

“I promise” he reaffirmed.

They talk for a while before bidding their goodbye and threw the phone on his bed.

He returns back to the room watching her lie there on the bed with her chest moving up and down. His wolf urges him to get closer to her slightly he took steps by steps and the next moment he was by her bed watching her up-close. He sat down beside her on the bed his hand reaching forward caressing her cheek. Closing his eyes, he moves away from the duvet and lies beside her holding her against his arms.

“I’m sorry” he mumbles repeatedly while kissing her on the cheek as a tear stray from his eyes before closing them enjoying the warmth of her body against his. He knew this might be the last time he’ll ever held her in his arms like this.

When he woke up he finds her still lying in his arms he smiles as he watches her face up-close to his. Taking in her features he moves closer nuzzling his nose to hers then kisses her on the cheek ‘how lucky he was to be gifted such a stunning and magnificent mate’ he thought while his wolf counterpart on how he stupidly acted and let go of her.

Daniella still hasn’t awakened since the incident despite him holding and kissing her cheek she never moves but it doesn’t mean she’s dead as she was still breathing.

“Jem” he calls after him his Beta stops and moves back to the open door looking at Dante “she’s lucky to have you… your mate” and with that Jem only nods closing the door behind him then continues to walk down the stairs.

Dante listening as his Beta’s footsteps fade behind his room closed door heavily sighs and went to sit by the bed with the sleeping Daniella. He stays there inside the room with her the whole day cherishing one last moment with her.

Once when Jem confirm the coast is clear and their pack doctor confirming that she would wake up any time sooner. Dante held his mate in his arms murmuring one last time “I’m sorry for what I did to you. I never meant to hurt you or mean anything I said but I promise I’ll always protect you” his lips linger on her forehead a little longer before nodding his head to Jem that it is time.

He sneaks Daniella in his car taking her home without anyone else in the pack knowing or notices them.

Little did he know along the perimeter line of the Council’s territory there are red eyes watching from the dark as he gave the sleeping Daniella to Cameron who was shocked to see her in Dante’s arms.
