'Those scoundrels are the ones who think they can take over my land and defeat my people but the moon goddess knows that this Alpha will never retreat.'
When Dante receives words from Jem through their links that their Pack south border is being attacked by rogues he runs as quickly as possible to get there. Jem has prep him while he was on the way that the rogues attack is getting more brutal and their pack warriors are becoming restless.
Dante has decided to link his special warriors that were like the assassins and also the best trackers for the Pack. They are only to be summoned when things are becoming out of hand and according to Jem’s report, it seems like they are much needed.
His top-secret warriors are well-trained youths and they only use Operation A: for non-crucial, B for convenience, and Operation C for high alert and is crucial. Their level of training is far different from the level of his normal training for all young pups, men, and women in his Pack.
“Operation D, meet me at the southern border” he orders before closing off the links and push his legs to run quickly as possible.
When he arrives his mask team was there already and what he has seen before his eyes were worse than what he encounters in his life. It may not look like an apocalypse but the blood everywhere and the rogues moving past their southern borderline was enough to know the damage made.
“These scoundrels think they can march through our land and take over our lands. Over my dead body” Dante’s wolf growl with fierce in their links.
He watches as his warriors were getting defeated by the rogues so quickly, it was as if the rogues knew their way of defense and attacks.
‘There are traitors in this Pack’ his wolf growl within him and with that Dante runs into the front line of their attack shifting into his wolf. His growl echoed through the night and his warriors bow in respect to their Alpha before turning back to defend themselves.
“Never let your guards out, remember you have families at home who are waiting, so don’t die today,” he says through their pack link as he bit down on a rogue shoulder who tries to go through the direction of the pack’s residence and snap his head. Then he moves on to the next one.
Dante showing up has given his pack warriors a lot of strength to fight back with their enemy. The battle went up for another 15minutes until the rogues decided to retreat as they were outnumbered by Dante’s warrior.
His wolf howl in agony wanted to be free and ready to hunt down Kiev and kidnap Dani but Dante was more in control of his wolf. He knew better that if he does it Daniella won’t even bother to look back at him.
“Alpha” Jem budge into his office, seeing blood dripping from his hand he moves to see but Dante stops him.
“Are the families being informed?” he asks and Jem answers with a yes “good make sure they didn’t sacrifice their lives for nothing.” Jem nodded his knowing what Dante meant that these men’s death was more than anything.
The next day the funeral was held for his fallen warriors, Dante couldn’t take the painful looks in the eyes of parents and the mates of the men who have died.
Watching everyone who was in white bid their goodbyes his eyes settle on the females who have lost their mates comforting one another. Something twisted within him making him, even more, realize how lucky he was that Daniella was alive, his mate is still in this world.
