Chapter 438
The third person to step forward was Edwin Lynch, the top master from Phaedra Island. He was much stronger than Julian and Bradley.
Sebastian quickly stepped back and spun away. He barely dodged the trio's combined attack, but Edwin's sword energy managed to cut off a lock of his hair. It missed Sebastian's head by mere inches. The close call left him drenched in cold sweat.
At that moment, Edwin, Bradley, and Julian surrounded Sebastian. Their formation created an impenetrable triangle that cut off every possible escape route.
Then, a group of elders from the three major families formed a larger perimeter around them. This left. Sebastian with no chance of escape.
"You're dead meat today, bastard!" Julian's murderous intent was palpable. His demeanor radiated the menacing presence like a villain.
"Brat, if you surrender now, I might let you keep your body intact." Bradley gripped his spear and sneered.
Edwin didn't say a word, but his murderous intent was unmistakable.
Sebastian glanced at Edwin. "Mr. Lynch, I've never had any bad blood with you. Why are you attacking me?"
"The four major families of Phaedra Island are bound by honor," Edwin said with righteous conviction.
He continued, "When one prospers, we all share that success. When one suffers, we all bear the loss. You've killed so many people from the Lennon and Sanders families. How could I possibly turn a blind eye to that?"
"Isn't that a bit hypocritical? Where were you when the Lennons attacked the Sander family?" Sebastian demanded.
Edwin was furious. "This is an internal conflict of Phaedra Island. An outsider like you has no right to meddle. Anyway, you will die today!"
Sebastian didn't back down. "You're all renowned masters, yet you gang up on someone younger like me. Don't you find that disgraceful?"
"The winners get to set the rules, while the losers have no say. Who's going to argue with that?" Bradley scoffed.
Julian sneered. "You can spout all the highfalutin talk you want, but it won't change the fact that you're dead meat today."
Sebastian sneered. "If you want to kill me, go ahead and try. I might just take one or two of you down with me." His words caused a flicker of concern in the eyes of the trio.
