Chapter 165
Chapter 165
Wyatt listened to Stephen’s self–righteous speech and scoffed inwardly. He has the nerve to say that after how he treated Abby? Unbelievable
Christian didn’t say anything more. In his mind, the company was already a shadow of what it used to be. With the mountain of debt hanging over them, it would take at least a year or two just to crawl out of the hole.
Even if Abigail ended up with more shares, it would just be a way of repaying what they owed her in the first place.
Seeing how lost Daniella looked, Bianca just couldn’t stay cold–hearted and said, ‘Mr. Wyatt Gibson, I know Dani has done some things that were hard to forgive, but she has been part of our family for so many years.
“If she is left with nothing, how is she supposed to live with that?”
Bianca thought, ‘No matter what she did, she’s still the daughter we brought up.’
Wyatt replied flatly, “Then she’ll just have to live with it.”
After finishing the discussion, he stood up and fixed his cloudy eyes on Bianca. He slowly said, “If any of you give her a cut, I’ll take your shares back myself and call off the deal with Warren.
Sort the remaining shares among yourselves and send someone to tell me what you’ve decided. Then, I’ll talk to Warren.”
Once Wyatt had gone upstairs, Stephen was the first to speak. “I’m taking 10%. I spent a few days in holding for Dad. That should earn me something. You three can split the other 25%.” With that, he walked away too.
Gabriel turned to Christian. “Chris, you’ve done some outrageous stuff these past two years. So, you only get 5%. Your mom raised you poorly, so she gets 5% too.”
After making his announcement, Gabriel looked toward Daniella, who was practically trying to shrink into the wallpaper.
His expression twisted in disgust as he turned to Bianca and added, “Later, I want you, me, Abigail, and Daniella to redo the DNA test at the hospital. I need to know whether the original results were real or if someone tampered with them.”
Stephen’s comment just now was exactly the wake–up call Gabriel needed.
Gabriel thought, ‘If Daniella was already pretending to be depressed when she was younger, and then picked the exact moment Abigail turned eighteen and was about to leave for college to get into that fatal accident… That says a lot, doesn’t it?
‘That’s basically her using her so–called depression, along with all the affection we gave her, to ruin Abigail’s future. If she could pull all that off, there’s a real chance she messed with the DNA test too.
‘Even if Daniella was a big spender, there’s just no way she could burn through six million dollars a month. That money had to be going somewhere
else:
Daniella nearly passed out when she heard Gabriel’s words.
Christian instinctively frowned, “Dad, why are we starting this all over aga-”
Gabriel cut him off sharply, “This isn’t your place to speak. You need to take a long, hard look at yourself.” Then, he turned to Bianca. “You, upstairs
now.”
Bianca flinched but got up immediately and followed him to the second floor.
The moment they entered the room, Gabriel sat down in a nearby chair, his expression grim. He said, “From now on, we’re going to have to rely on Abby.
“If she ends up marrying Sebastian, that would be a huge win for our family. So right now, what we need to do is show her where we stand.”
Bianca’s voice was barely audible as she asked, “What do you mean?”
Gabriel looked her way and said coldly, “Everything Abby went through back then, Dani is going to pay it back with interest.
“And I don’t care what the DNA test says. Even if Dani is our biological daughter, she’s still going to pay for what she did to Abby. When the time is right, we’ll have her locked up.”
Bianca collapsed to the floor, stunned. “Please don’t do this. Abby already took the fall for three years. Can’t we just leave it at that?”
Gabriel retorted, “Leave it at that? Does Abby look like she’s over it? Dani has to go down for Abby to even consider forgiving us.
“If Dani really is our own daughter, then we owe it to her to set things right. Let’s not forget, Dani fooled all of us.”
