“I’ll go,” a young, pretty maid piped up.

When the maid set the tray by the door, she called out to Daniella inside. “Food’s here.”

The second the words left her mouth, she kicked the tray over.

Daniella came out to find the meal spilled everywhere, and her temper exploded.

The maids scattered like flies.

A maid scurried off to fetch her.

Seconds later, Ruth Bishop shuffled out of the kitchen, eyeing Gabriel nervously with a puzzled look.
