Chapter 222
Daniella had caused quite a scene today, and there would probably be another dramatic showdown tonight.
Bianca’s eye injury turned out to be pretty serious.
When the workday ended, Abigail still had a mountain of work to finish. She decided to stay late at the office–anything was better than going home to watch Gabriel deal with Daniella.
Timothy always liked being the last one to leave. Coming out of his office and spotting Abigail still at her desk, he immediately called out, “Stop working overtime already. If you keep this up, Mr. Robinson’s going to think I’m running a sweatshop. Go home!”
Abigail had zero interest in going home.
“Come on, don’t drag your feet,” Timothy urged from his office doorway, “Hurry up, I need to turn off the lights!”
Left with no choice, Abigail reluctantly shut down her computer and packed up her things.
In the taxi, she decided to head to Sebastian’s place instead. That was when Wyatt called.
Abigail hit the answer button, but before she could speak, Wyatt’s voice came through, “You need to come back. The whole house is in chaos.”
“There’s no point in me coming back,” Abigail said. “Daniella attacked Mrs. Gibson today.” She had no interest in getting involved in the Gibson family’s
mess.
“I know,” Wyatt said. “But Gabriel’s about to beat Daniella to death. I can’t stop him. I think since you’ll be running the Gibson family someday, you can’t let things fall apart like this. You need to be able to control them.”
Abigail had zero interest in controlling anyone. She would never reconcile with the people in the Gibson family who had hurt her.
“Grandpa, the Gibsons brought this on themselves,” she said. “Whether it’s Daniella getting beaten or the Gibsons doing the beating. If you can’t stand watching, call the police.”
She respected Wyatt deeply, but she couldn’t fix the Gibson family’s problems. Going back to help Daniella would make her sick. And condemning Daniella for Gabriel was even more impossible.
“Abby, if you don’t want to get involved, then I won’t either,” Wyatt said. He despised how Daniella had treated Abigail, but he was still an elder. At his age, seeing Daniella beaten so badly she could barely move tugged at his conscience.
But Abigail’s words were a wake–up call. He couldn’t solve the Gibson family’s deep–rooted problems either. Fine. Let them tear each other apart.
After hanging up the phone, Abigail stared at the streetlights for a moment before deciding to head to Judy’s place.
She’d been racking her brain for ways to deal with the Gibson family, but now she realized she had the perfect weapon right in front of her. She shouldn’t need to go back and interfere.

And Daniella, the very person they’d groomed, would eventually turn against them in a desperate fight. All Abigail needed to do was make sure Daniella
“Here are the account books from the three years you were gone,” Judy said gently, handing them over.

Whenever Abigail came to her room without eating, it meant she was there to review the accounte
“After supporting the kids who are struggling, there’s about 1.3 million dollars left,” Judy explained in her soft voice.
Abigail nodded. “I need to withdraw around a million dollars. I have some things to take care of.”
