Odie's eyes were filled with danger.

James frowned and said, "I didn't tamper with the car."

"Not you? Then how did you know it was sabotaged?"

"I saw it."

"And you think I'd believe that?"

Odie scoffed, "Sophie is your ex-wife. Could you really just stand by and watch her car get messed with and walk away?"

"I can't show up in front of her, so I could only hint that her car was tampered with."

James's calm demeanor made Odie hesitate.

James continued, "I could have just left without saying a word. No need to act mysterious and make Sophie suspicious. Ask her yourself. If she hadn't seen a glimpse of me, she wouldn't have checked the car."
