By the time Sophie got back to the Minton residence, it was already past midnight. The place was buzzing with commotion. Angelo was anxiously tugging at Colby, saying, “Oh, come on! Sophie’s got a guardian angel watching over her! And Mr. Odie went too, right? They’re invincible!”

“Exactly, exactly! No harm will come to them!” Sandy chimed in, placing herself in front of Colby. Even though just a glance from Colby’s eyes sent shivers down her spine, seeing her brother stepping up, she couldn’t back down.

“Move!” Colby, dressed in a white shirt with the sleeves slightly rolled up, his face pale, was about to shake off these two persistent people when Sophie’s voice cut through the chaos: “Colby!”

Colby, still tense, retorted, “This happened on your turf. You owe me an explanation.”

Odie, with a cold expression, replied, “I was planning to investigate before you said that. Now, I don’t feel like it.”

“I could dismantle the Minton family, believe it or not?”

“…” Colby’s eyes immediately cleared, losing the sharp edge they had moments before.

“Upstairs! Bedtime!” Sophie’s words were like an emperor’s decree, and Colby obediently followed her upstairs.

Odie frowned. They’re leaving? Just like that?

“Colby! Are you even a man? If you are, come down and fight me!” Hearing Odie’s taunts from behind, Colby simply waved dismissively without turning around, showing no interest in fighting.
