"How'd you know I was back in Summerfield?"

"How else? I asked Kena."

Sophie had been laid up in the hospital for a while, and Odie barely swung by to see her. Everyone was tied up with their own stuff, wrapping things up, so no one really kept tabs on where Odie was.

"I came back to Summerfield just for work, not to dig up anything."

Odie's eyes darted away as he said, "I didn't swipe anything from them. They just messed up their info and nabbed the wrong guy. I've been stalling, refusing to hand it over, just buying some time."

"You didn't take anything, yet you still got caught? Odie, do you think I'm gullible?"

Sophie raised an eyebrow, "What exactly are you hiding?"

"What? You gonna grill me too?"

Odie clammed up, just as Sophie was about to give him a piece of her mind, Colby stepped in, putting a hand on her shoulder, "I know how to get him to talk."

"Alright, you two take your time. I'll go brew some tea."

As Sophie got up to leave, Odie locked eyes with Colby. Seeing the seriousness in Colby's gaze, Odie couldn't help but scowl at Sophie, "Sophie! You're really something, aren't you!"

"No choice, since Mr. Odie here isn’t playing ball."

Sophie feigned a sigh of regret, waved at Odie, and stepped out of the room.

Soon, it was just Odie and Colby left in the room.

Colby dragged a chair over and sat down, relaxed, "You gonna spill, or should I start asking?"

Odie knew Colby wasn't about to budge, so he leaned back against the bed, "I’m not talking. You gonna rough up a patient?"

Before Odie could finish, Sophie breezed back in.

"I gave you three minutes, and you're still tight-lipped?"

Sophie walked in with two cups of tea, handing one to Colby and keeping the other for herself.

Seeing this, Odie's face fell, "Sophie, I'm a patient!"

"I know you're a patient, that’s why I got the nurse to bring you some tea."

Sophie took a sip, "After all, women are good at nothing but causing trouble, right?"

Odie caught the sarcasm in her words right away.
