Sophie frowned, standing up. "I only told you all this so you'd know Kena's the enemy. And here you are, acting like you're about to jet off to Summerfield and confront her!"

"Doesn't she deserve it?"

Odie shoved Jonah aside, fuming. "I can handle being messed with by a woman, but who is she to toy with me?"

Sophie sighed, realizing they were missing the bigger picture. "Take it easy! No need to rush into things."

"How can I not? So, Summerfield isn't your territory after all!"

He'd just had a brief trip to Devonport and then back home. Anyone would be rattled by such a blow.

Sophie continued, "Going back now won't solve anything. The Mintons' affairs are a tangled mess. Sure, you're the head of the Mintons, but you can't outsmart The Silent Shadows lurking behind them. What good will confronting Kena do? Standing there, unable to touch her, won't that just be more frustrating?"

"Boss, I think Sophie’s got a point. Healing up should be the priority right now."

Jonah had barely finished when Odie shot him a cold look, effectively silencing him.

Sophie pressed on, "This time, I faked some surveillance footage and gave it to Kiran to make him believe The Silent Shadows took Sandy, sparking a conflict between them. But even Kiran couldn’t handle Kena. Do you think you’re stronger than Kiran?"

"Sophie, what's that supposed to mean?"

"Kiran tracked down Kena because of the fake footage I created. But Kena doesn’t know that. She might think I’m crafty and suspect I knew she was with The Silent Shadows all along. So, she’ll be cautious before making any moves against us. Mr. Gordon taught me this trick; he said it makes people unsure of your depth, like staring into an abyss—might be shallow, but seems deep and scary enough to make them think twice. It’s my first attempt, so who knows if it’ll work."

Mentioning Gordon seemed to change something in Odie's expression, calming him a bit.
